My so called "best friend" is a girl named jessica. today in band class she was acting really weird to me, i seriously had no clue why. Later on I found out that Jessica (my friend) told the girl whom i will be taking to my schools homecomming, not to go the the dance with me. My date asked me why jessica tol her that and i really dont know why. any suggestions of what to do in this scenario? Im realle Pissed so Id really appriciate all of your answers. Thankyou (Oh keep in mind i took my friend jessica to homecomming last year, and she said she had a good time, but why would she tell my date that this year?) Jessica has a boyfriend also keep that in mind.

Ok so she may be envious a little, but idk how to just ask her is she jealous, i mean i am a very blunt a straight forward person so i cant ask her that way. How should i go about asking her?

She's obviously J-E-A-L-O-U-S. Have a one-on-one conversation with her. Just keep it real and ask her flat out, " Did you do that because you like me and you got jealous?" " Do you want me to go with you instead?" I'll bet she'll soon admit that she does! She couldv'e been more mature about the way she handled the situation. She owes you AND the girl you asked to homecoming an apology. Good luck!

Well, let's see. She's remained your best friend presumably before and definitely after your date to homecoming last year, so it doesn't seem likely that she disapproves of you....
She has a boyfriend, but you have no idea what she really thinks about him....even if you think she tells you everything.
Could Jessica like you more than you know? Maybe she has a boyfriend to console her because she can't have the fella she really wants. Maybe she's steering this other girl away because she's jealous...
Or maybe she knows something about the other girl that makes her afraid you would get hurt. Maybe she's not being malevolent against you, but protective of you. How will you know unless you ask her what you're asking us?
Just know things are not always what they seem.....and sometimes things are exactly what they seem to be. Being smart in this world means learning to tell the difference.

Jessica is jealous of you and the other girl. I don't care about the fact that she has a boyfriend. Maybe they had an argument, or maybe she doesn't want to be with him, but wants you instead. I don't know, but I do believe she is jealous for some reason or another.

I take it you are in high school.... and all this drama is normal and natural for this age group.... jealousy is normal..... Jess may not want you as a boy friend, or maybe she does, but the thought of you having another girl is just to much..... sorry, but that is just the way girls and some guys think at this age.... high school is a time to grow and learn and become aware of just who and what we are as people and adults...... so dont be so hard on Jess... talk to her about it..... let her know that all is ok, and that she is still your friend but that this other girl is important too.... you may still get the weird reaction, but still, keep in mind that ppl go thru this as a growing experiance...... learn from it......
