No offense sir but you really need to enlighten yourself by getting some basic sex education. Masturbation is completely normal and healthy for boys and girls, men and women...EVERYBODY! It has nothing at all do do with the possibility of her conceiving. There is more and more evidence of substantial mental and physical benefits (short and long term) to masturbation. Intellectual benefits? Probably not. Read a book instead and start with one on sex education! No side effects, no damage to worry about it all. Masturbation is one of the joys of life! I would hope that you have found that out as well as your wife. Now stop worrying and start reading! Tell your wife to keep enjoying what she's doing! See a doc (both of you) if you've been trying to get her pregnant without success for a long period of time. You may be unclear on the concept of that too! Good luck!

I'm Catholic, and I don't consider it a sin. I don't take the bible literally word for word. I don't believe it's 100% correct. It was told by orally for over 300 years before it was even written down. There is bound to be misinterpretations with a story being told orally. Has anyone ever played telephone is school? Somebody will say "dog" and whisper it is someones ear and then when it get around to the entire class, the word that the person says is something completely different like "sandwich". That's probably what happened with the bible. In addition, they kinda make up rules like no masturbating, thousands of years after Jesus died on the cross. I highly doubt Jesus said "you shall not masturbate" Gimme a break.. we have the desire, it shouldn't be a sin to give in to a desire.. It's not a sin to have sex before your married either. It's all made up by society. I believe in God, but I don't believe in feeling guilty over wanting to have sex before i'm married or masturbating. It's natural. Everyone does it.. and if you say you don't, you're a liar. You can't deny your feelings.

She has no reason to feel guilty....and Well unless she is using lawn tools or something dangerous how could this effect her ability to have a child? Why would you think that masturbation would effect her physically and mentally? and intellectually? are you kidding me? The only way any of this would effect her ability to conceive is if she is not having sex with you at all... You have some really odd ideas about masturbation...

Masturbation will not cause any harm to her body. There is NO reason why it should damage her mentally. Its a natural thing for men and women. Intellectually has nothing to do with this.

I know MANY of married men and women who do this. There is NO SHAME AT ALL in masturbation. Please do not make your wife feel guilty for this act.

* SIDE NOTE.....If you and your wife are wanting to get pregnant tell her that it is wise to go get a pap by her doctor just to make sure her cervixs "good to go."

The only thing that masturbation can do for a woman is make her more likely for you to get her pregnant. You are more likely to get her to have an orgasm, especially if she masturbates in conjunction with you having sex with her.

And oh yea, women can not be guilty of onanism only mean can, unless you want to tell me she had a tubal ligation with out you knowledge. That is as close as women get to onanism. Now if you masturbate that is a different story. Onan was killed for spilling his seed. Women can't do that. Reread your Bible.

And keep having sex. It will all work out.
