I got caught by the police drinking in the university pub and I am underage? Do you think they'll call my parents or my record will be screwed?

I wouldn't worry about it. Sure your parents may be informed, but I doubt there will be a record following you for life. Just say your're sorry and it won't happen again. After all, it's not a capital crime. The crime is by the bartender who served you the drink .

They may contact your parents, and they may contact the school. It may be the school that addresses the issue of the incident and decides whether you'll have consequences at school or not.

I think if its a first and only offense there's a chance they may put it on some record for now but consider removing it later if you don't get into more trouble related to drinking.

You may want to tell your parents yourself - or not. Some parents can be far more understanding than sons and daughters may think they will be.
