we had this once at a beach party and it went over great: cut a large watermelon in half lengthwise. cut 1 canteloupe in half for every 2 people.(the canteloupe halves are the dishes.) (the watermelon halves are the serving bowl and lid) Scoop out the flesh of all the melons--making melon balls or cubes with some of it--save the leftover to eat another time. add pinaple chunks, strawbwerries, blueberries, peach or pear slices and put them in the watermelon half with the melon balls. stack the canteloupe "bowls" on top of the fruit pieces, then top the whole thing with the "lid" (other watermelon half). we brought along a couple cans of spray whip cream too. no dishes to do and very refreshing and light--perfect for a hot day on the beach--enjoy!

*Vitamin Waters, maybe things 2 make smores if there is a grill around, but if not dont bring smore things because they will melt. Chips would be good, sandwiches already prepared maybe from Quizons or Togos. Not things that are messy because of the sand but maybe you could bring some sugar cookies, which wont melt. As well cans of soda not bottles. *
