the new rap sucks..classic rap is okay...and if you really want to blow your mind, listen to Anthrax with Public Enemy. Metal kicks butt...but the definition is metal is not static...you would know that if you saw "May is Metal Month on VH1". ie. Some would say Guns N' Roses is metal...others like myself would not. Some would say Metallica, Iron Maiden, Judias Priest is "true metal". One question...what did rap or metal do to you...or anybody????At least it ain't country music.

Both have issues!
I think it depends on your taste in music. Some rap is okay as I'm sure some Metal is okay. But rap that defames women, espouses violence and uses unnecessarily vulgar language is CRAP. Just like Metal that espouses violence, anti-religion and other terrible things is CRAP! It all depends on your taste in music. Personally, I'm not a fan of either!
