"Anger, malice, greed and envy ...
all these are obstacles
in the path of Love and co-operation.
They lower man
from the Divine to the animal level."
"Bhakthi merges in Jnaana
and becomes identified with it.
Bhakthi ripens into Jnaana,
So donot speak of them as different.
At one stage, it is called Bhakthi,
at a later stage,
we refer to it as Jnaana.
Once it is cane, later it is sugar."

I don't know about the sublime holiness, but otherwise I agree. Looking at all the women down thru the ages who have banked only on their looks, one can find very few happy endings. Certainly a woman should have the same opportunities as men. But she should not exploit her beauty for gain. Of course, no woman should be so emotionally modest that she is self-depricating or stands in another's shadow. Regarding accomplishments in the business world, I believe that a woman should be judged for what she can accomplish rather than by her appearance. This doesn't happen alot, because unfortunately we live in a sexist society, and its getting worse.

Modesty is both a blessing (making the mundane seeming
more desirable), and a curse (if a woman loses her modesty,
she loses a lot of value in society).
Ultimately, I don't think its worth it.

BS... what the hell does it mean to be a vacuum?? Anyway, I'm not modest so whatever, I guess a man wrote this, the same type of man who wants a virgin for a wife even though he's slept with numerous women and men I'll bet.. pigs!
And anyway, you kind of lose all modesty after your first PAP, and baby.......

At times we ALL must be modest to get what we want in life, but I think that the intelligent yet assertive woman can get much farther.......You can be assertive without being pushy, just takes a bit of tact and resourcefulness.......Take care, dear...........
