Two television programs, oft compared to each other. One, The Outer Limits, frequently featured a monster. The other, The Twilight Zone, was more of a psychological thriller. Both series often had a moral to the tale, but which show was the better? And just so the viewer doesn't become too complacent, we throw in two dark horse candidates: Alfred Hitchcock Presents and Night Gallery. As it is obvious how the narrator feels, this question will be put to a vote... in the Twilight Zone.

Twilight Zone always seem to get you thinking about moral dilemmas. Like the one where the people get the button delivered to them and if they push it they will receive money but it will kill someone they don't know. They push it and then at the end they take it away and tell them it will go to someone they don't know. Gets you thinking.

hmmmmm Twilight Zone was a quicker, neater package. But I really liked Outer limits, and I remember Night Gallery from when I was way young.

Don't know why , but never a big fan of HItchcock series, liked the movies. I guess all considered, Twilight Zone.

I'm a major Twilight Zone fan.
I agree with your statement that it was more psychological - with it's moral preachiness and it's last minute twist ending.

As for Rod Serling he was the perfect host. His delivery was unique, his production and writing talent was imaginative. I loved him in both The Twilight Zone and Night Gallery.

I submit Twilight Zone!

Ooohhhh....tough question. I love it. Each one of these shows always hid a moral. I can't exactly explain why, but I always liked Twilight Zone, and then Night Gallery. Plus, they all were shows that made us question our reality and beliefs. That's always a good thing. I'll see you in the Twilight Zone.
