Himmler - leader of the SS, which was more than just a regiment of killers, it was almost a parallel state in its own right.

Goebbels - propaganda minister. The Nazis set great store on the manipulation of public information and option.

Goring - minster for the Luftwaffe amongst other things. One of the few Nazis who were a bit posh. Hence he was valuable to the party when it was set up and Hitler let him hang on when he turned fat, greedy and lazy.

Albert Speer - towards the end of the war, the Reich minister in charge of armaments and keeping war industry going in the face of Allied attack. Started working for Hitler as architect and designer, some people think Hitler fancied him.

Heydrich - Himmler's right hand man in the SS and the man in charge of running the Holocaust.

Eichmann - a middle ranking bureaucrat, SS member and the man who organised transport for the Holocaust.

Bormann - Hitler's right hand man, a bit of a nonentity except for the fact that he controlled access to Hitler. Since decision-making in the Third Reich was a mess of competing ministries and party organisations, whoever controlled access to Hitler himself, who was often the only man who could cut through the mess, controlled the country.

Baldur von Shirach - head of the Nazi Youth Organisations.
