There are always "boundary conditions," statements that are assumed to be true before stating the proof.

In math, there are axioms--math "facts" that are assumed to be true and upon which everything else is built.

In physics, frequently one has to say things like, "assuming the laws of physics hold in that remote galaxy," or "...in that remote period of time."

In other words, there have to be ground rules for any proof to be presented. There is a degree of trust necessary in communicating facts, especially things like physical evidence or events that not all have personally observed.

But, yeah, for those who are honest and want to learn something, stating and receiving proofs is possible.
