More than likely you will be arriving in British Columbia. The province next (east) is Alberta and they are crying for people to work the oilpatch. Jobs are a dime a dozen in the Edmonton area as well as the tar-sands in Ft.McMurry. Will be turning cold by the 1st week of October so pack lots of warm clothes.

Can you legally work in Canada or are you just coming on a visitor's visa? If you are just a visitor, it is doubtful that anyone will hire you. If you are a student and on a student visa, you can legally work (part-time), and the college or university may be able to assist you to find a job. If you are coming to Canada as a landed immigrant - legally able to work - you shouldn't have too much trouble finding a job, especially at this time of year (peak hiring season).

Go to any of the big ski resort areas soon and they'll be looking for workers ... Whistler, Banff, Lake Louise etc. The ski season starts in early November, but you might be able to snag a decent job beforehand.

If your visa allows you to work (and they are STRICT about that in Canada) you will find tons of jobs in BC and Alberta. The construction industry is booming so if you have any trades training, they will welcome you. As for other jobs, that depends on what your experience is.
