You'll have to delete it from your iTunes on your computer. When you connect your iPod to your computer, it should update the song list to no longer include any songs you've deleted.

You plug in your ipod, using itunes(don't use ephpod, it will crash your nano)select the song you want to delete, and hit "del" on your keyboard, or using the right mouse button, hit delete near the song. You have to update for itunes or your ipod to notice the songs are gone.

When you find out let me know cuz I haven't been able to erase a single song from the iPod since I bought it.
