If you are in pain now (lower back and you have an urgency to urinate) take some ibuprofen or similar and get to the 24 hour pharmacy and buy some Uristat which will help with the pain and let you sleep in peace tonight.

- if you have insurance, you can go to the emergency room tonight and they will help you.

TOMORROW - GO TO THE DOCTOR or clinic as soon as possible. If you do not get antibiotics you can get a kidney infection or you may have a STD (like chlamydia) that requires other treatment.

And don't have sex until you get to a doctor - in any case you will just aggravate the symptoms and put yourself in more misery.

Don't worry - I had my first UTI when I was 18 too. It's not a big deal.

There are no creams for a UTI...you'll need oral antibiotics and to drink lots of water to help flush the infection out. But it may be a yeast infection or an allergic reaction to the latex condom that is causing irritaition and burning on the skin as the urine is coming out. In any case, since you've never had this pain before, you should go to the doctor to get a definite diagnosis

I have had UTI before and had it treated by taking a garlic supplement which worked very well. I have since recommended it to my friends if they had the same problem. So far all have gotten good results.
Garlic is a natural antibiotic. The supplement which I took is from the nutrilite brand. It does not give off an unpleasant smell. For all of you girls out there with the same problem, try it!
If you would like to purchase but do not know a nutrilite distributor please feel free to contact me.
Oh btw, when i was doing my diploma, one of my projects is to test the efficacy of cranberries in treating UTI. It is only effective if you take the 100%cranberry which tastes super sour. Very tart. So cranberry juice which you buy outside totally useless as they contain very little cranberry juice.

You can't buy any creams. You will need to get an antibiotic. Don't worry you don't even need to tell the Dr you think it is from sex. They are common. What you are going to need to do is drink a glass of water before you have sex and make sure you pee right after sex..I know it sounds like a mood killer but my doc told me to do it and it is better then having a UTI !!! When you are having sex try to avoid positions that make your bladder get pounded that will help to! Good Luck and go to the doctor soon...They don't go away on there own and can lead to MUCH worse things if not cleared up!!!

You will not be abel to get rid of the UTI without a prescription. The two most common meds prescribed for UTIS are Cipro or Sulfa. The Sulfa is going to be alot cheaper and do the job just as well unless of course you are allergic to it. In the meantime to help with the pain they do have an over the counter medication. It is usually kept by the feminie hygeine products. One name is called Azo it has Pyridium. If you wear contact lenses you will have to wear your glasses will taking the pain med otherwise the med will discolor your lenses. Also do not be alarmed but the pain med can also discolor your urine and stool.
GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!!!!!!!!

Creams alone will not work. You need an antibiotic to go through the system and work on the infection inside your bladder. That is usually where a UTI emanates from. Go to a doctor.

drink cranberry juice by the quart. also lots and lots of water to flush you out. going pee A LOT is the whole point. cran juice (natural, without sugar added, like 'apple and eve' NOT cran juice cocktail!!) has compounds to kill bladder infections. ALSO, dont know where you live, a woods berry out all year, partridge berry, from a tiny vining ground plant in the woods, is perfect for womens bladder health. that's the quick sollution. the real answer is that you may have a STD, so see a DR... good luck!

You need to go to see the MD. It could be an STD. If it is a urinary tract infection, there are meds the MD can put you that will rid you of it fairly quickly.

If you do have a UTI, creams aren't gonna fix it. It is not uncommon to get UTIs after having sex. They even have a name for it...honeymoon cystitis.

You need to increase your fluid intake, drink lots of cranberry juice...and get in to see a doctor to get treated.

Cream won't cure it if it's a bladder infection. You need antibiotics for that. Drinking plenty of fluids and cranberry juice can help it clear up faster.
