Isn't it 2 1/2?
When it says evaluate the expression; it basically means get the answer...
So when you have a variable and you know the number, plug it in.
...So the expression is 1/2+t...You have t, which equals to 2, so it's going to be 1/2+2 ...which then equals to 3/2 (improper) or in mixed form, 2 1/2
1/2+t
t=2
1/2+2
= 2 1/2

is it 1/2 + t or 1/(2+t)? Because it makes a difference.
You would substitue '2' where ever you see a 't' because if 't' is equal to 2, you know that everywhere a 't' is there should be a 2 there.
If your problem is 1/2 + t, you would have 1/2 + 2, which is 2.5.
If your problem is 1/(2+t), you would have 1/(2+2), or .25.
