Multipy 8 by (3p+4)
5p + 24p + 32 = 264
29p = 264 - 32
Then move the 32 to the other side. If it is positive, you subtract the number. If it is - , you add the number.
29p = 232
Divide 232 by 29 to get p.
p = 8

Now combine the "p"s
29p + 32 =264
Isolate the P by first removing the 32. Subract the 32 from both sides..leaving...

Divide both sides by 29....

okay...
first, you've got to distribute the 8:
5p+24p + 32 = 264
then do the addition:
29p + 32 =264
then you get all the integers on the same side by subtrating 32 from both sides:
29p + 32 -32 = 264 - 32
do the math:
29p = 232
then divide both sides by 29 to get the value of p:
p = 232/29
p = 8
just remmeber that you want to get all the #s on one side and the variable on the other so you can solve it.

okay first u do distibutive property 8(3p)+8(4)
this equals 24p+32+5p(add like terms 24p+5p)
then ur answer turns out 2 be 29p+32 just leave it like that it is distributive property.
