It seems like people are OBSESSED with celebrities for some strange reason. Does it bug anyone else that their are WAY more important things in the world other than what Paris Hilton did on a Beach or what Baby Suri looks like? What about Katrina victims or the countless other things plaguing the world? How come people arent obsessed about these things? Doesn't it seem right to be worried about these issues?

Yea people should be worried about this stuff but some are to obsessed with eating cake to realize that they are getting fat. Just as some are desensitized to violence others ignore it completely because the media either doesn't put enough attention to it or they just don't care... and at the same time they don't realize that they are destroying themselves by NOT caring because if you don't care about what's going on globally how can one care IF something occurs nearby, how will they cope or help?
I think this doesn't make since at all and I'm sorry if it doesn't!

I agree with you. But at the same time, I think people obsess with celebrities and television shows and movies and music and whatnot because if all anybody did was worry about reality (death, war, etc) what would the fun in life be? We'd all be stressed to death or at least highly irritable.

Nah, it's just a way to blow off steam. Celebrities in America are like royalty in other countries. It fascinates us to watch the lives of others play out in magazines and TV.

I hate when the celebs want to grip because they're being hassled by photographers who are trying to get pics of them! That's the price of being famous, I would think! And yes, there are many, many more things that people should be more concerned about!
