How horrible... a stingray killed him. I feel really bad for his kids. What do you think/feel?

To C. Millionaire, I wonder if that's what they'll say when you die "sure it's sad, but not the end of the world." I certainly hope not. Please show a bit of respect to Steves family, huh?

Its one of those things like Princess Di. You just keep going on and on in your head that this is not real because it is such a waste and the world just didn't have them for long enough. He had many more things to do and this just should not have happened. Life is just not fair!

I was SHOCKED when I heard the news on the radio. It's still hard for me to believe it really happened.
As for his kids, that must be horrible.
Robert Clarence (b. Dec 1 2003) only knew his dad for 3 years, which is a shame.

It is very sad ! I was thinking this afternoon ,Just how many times did this man push the envelope ? You know tempt fate . It is amazing in his line of work that he did get seriously hurt more often . I too feel sad for his children and his wife .

It's sad, but not that surprising that he died that way. It is ironic to be killed by something that he is known for elluding.

The sting ray didn't kill him. Removing the barb killed him. Had he left it in he would have made it to the hospital and survived more than likely.

yes very sad. and in regards to others comments, wildlife naturalists KNOW what to do in animal injuries.

yeah...:(...im so sorry for his family and his baby but at least he died doing something he loved...i think they got it on tape since they were filming a documentary.
