Okay you need to know about order of operations: You work from left to right doing what is in parenthesis first, any number that has an exponent, you multiply the number by itself the number of times of the exponent, then, clearing the parenthesis you work from left to right multiplying and dividing in the order they come it and then add or subtract in the order they come it. so in this problem, where are the parenthesis? around the 7, the 2 and the 3, right? The seven is in there by itself so just bring it out of the parenthesis, the 2 and the 3 what is between them--a minus sign, so you take the value of the numbers and since 3 is furthest from zero You know about number lines and integers, right? You would subtract the 2 from the 3 and make the answer negative. Then when you remove the parenthisis, what is there? a negative sign so you treat that like there is actually a one there--a negative one and what is -1 and -1 multiplied together? positive one. Then remove the brackets now what is left? -7 +6 +1 right? What is that ? Seven minus six is -1 and then add a one and you have zero.Got it?

Just use the order of operations:

PEMDAS - Parentheses (or brackets), Exponents, Multiplication and Division, Addition and Subtraction

(-7) + 6 + [-(2-3)] =
(-7) + 6 + [-(-1)] =
two negatives equal a positive
(-7) + 6 + [1] =
then just add the rest
-1 + [1] = 0

Well...
Cut off the part with the [-(2-3)] for now.
What is (-7)+6? You're right, it's -1. Okay, now do the other half.
-(2-3) 2-3=-1. But see the - in front of it? So it would be 1. Now what is 1+-1? That's it! 0. Your answer is 0. Does this help you?

Okay, maybe I'm wrong so double check me but: Start with the parenthesis in the brackets which is 2-3=-1, then -1 x -1 which is the remaining calculation in the brackets is positive 1. +6+1=7. 7 + (-7) = 0. Anybody else?

First apply the negative to 2 and -3 so you get
-2+3=1
You are then left with -7+6+1 which equals zero.
That is my interpretation....hope it is right
I know there is some phrase that helps you remember the order in which you should perform mathematics equations. I just can't remember what it is.

do the numbers inside the brackets first (distribute negative)

(-7)+6+[-(2-3)]

(-7)+6+[-2+3]

(-7)+6+1

-7 + 7

0

First do the things in brackets so it would be:
(-7)+6+1

Then add it.
