basically bisexuality means that a person is attracted both to people of the other gender and their own. The symptoms of it, I would say consist of gender confusion. And yes there is a cure, although people will be mad about you asking. Basically, the cure is for people to find the root cause of their bisexuality and learn to embrace themselves as a man or woman. This can be accomplished through therapy or pastoral counseling. These are two organizations that do that sort of thing:

Bisexuality- Attraction to both male and female.
Symptoms: Having impure thoughts of being with a man and
a woman, not necissarily at the same time. Desireing
a woman and also a man.
Cause: Not being satisfied by the appropiate opposite sex.
Missing out on having the correct experience there-
fore looking at other options b/c you know it should
have been better than that!
Prevention: Don't give up on the appropiate opposite sex! It
may take some hard work and lots of let downs
but the experience is out there.Look harder!
Cure: Finding the right satisfying experience with the appropiate
opposite sex. Now the same sex experience is irrelevant
b/c it's no longer needed as it was all along.

Bisexuality is not a disease; humans are sexual beings and it's natural to view people of the same or opposite sex as attractive without necessarily being bisexual or gay. However, if you're looking for possible biological causes, there is a theory that levels of the hormone estrogen in the brain may play a role in sexuality, along with other factors. If you or someone you know is struggling with sexuality, I suggest counseling.

Bisexuality can actually have two meanings. The first is that it can mean "having sex organs of both a male and a female" and secondly it means "being sexually responsive to both sexes". Being that it is such a big deal these days, i'm going to guess that you are refering to the second of the definitions. I find it interesting that you refer to it as a sickness almost. Sexual orientation is not a sickness. Causes for sexual orientation are unclear to his day. I suppose that symptoms could be explained as "being sexual aroused by both male and females reguardless of one's own sex". Sexual orientation is not a sickness or a disease, so there is no "cure" for it.

I'm not real sure on gays, but bisexuals strike me as confused individuals. I think, they're heterosexual, but they find that some members of the same sex as physically attractive too. So they think, "if they look good, I must must be sexually attracted to them". I'm a guy, and I'm soooo hetero, but I think Tom Welling is a hot guy (I think he's "physically attractive")... if I was gay (or a heterosexual girl), I would say that he is "sexually attractive". There's no way in HELL I would want to be physically intimate with a guy. Physically attractive/ Sexually attractive... There IS a difference people. May the confusion end... here.
