I need the best website for identifying plants and leaves. It has to be very descrptive.

It is always best to use a field guide because they are usually regionally specific and are sorted to make it easier to identify to species. But since you are asking for a website I would suggest http://plants.usda.gov/ becuase it is the database for the plants found in the US. You can do an advanced search using region, state, common names, or (Characteristics data) ie: descriptive features, etc. There are also a ton of pictures.
