As in all things to do with a service, talk to people that have used a similar service recently, in your case, you might want to try people that have recently relocated and or companies that have staf and or mamangment relocated, say military, rcmp, banks etc, and ask them who they use.
The Better Business Bureau, are also a good resource, as may people will file concerns with them, and they will monitor their members for quality and consistency of service provided.
If you are using a realtor in your town or where you are moving to, they may have some relocating experience with good moving companies.
As a person who moved from Holland to Canada 20 some years ago, I remember that we spend over a month researching the movers, costs, packing methods, loading methods, storage, insurance delivery times etc etc. in the end the highest and the lowest price was not a consideration, but the overal track record and recomondation from people we trusted made the difference.
Good Luck
