Why are you trying to make life fair? As you said it isn't. If you are fair then you treat all people the same no matter what their needs are. It would mean that if I donate food to the poor then I should also give to the rich?
Life should not be fair, people need to be dealt with on an individual basis. Accepting that reduces a lot of stress and unwarranted hurt.

doesn't have to be fair, just equitable. Big difference. I agree, life will never be fair, but it could be equitable.
