It's my girlfriend's 2002 Ford Focus. As I mentioned, popped the 4 lug nuts off but I can't get the damn thing to release. Have tried WD-40, kicking, and even tried putting nuts partially on and driving it a bit to loosen. No luck...Any suggestions?

Is it the threads catching on the wheel (if so jack it up high enough so you can put your hand under it(plenty of ground clearance) then try.If its stuck to the drum or rotor put on blocks and get out the 10 lb sledge hammer(hit the tire) If hitting the tire compleatly destroys it and it still hasn't come off it must be welded to the hub/axel.In which case I guess you could put a new tire on the wheel while it is still on the car but that would be some serious work.

WD 40 is good for a few thousand things but it isn't a penetrating liquid of the sort you need. The sort you need is called a sledgehammer! Just be very careful not to knock the car off the jack... Just rap it good on the edge of the rim on alternating sides. If you have aluminum wheels... well... you need new ones anyway. If they're steel.... you'll need a new one after you bend it. Sad but true. Also... rubber does have a tendancy to "bounce" back and so may the hammer if you aren't careful. Gotta love it!

Make sure that the vehicle is securely jacked up, with the tire off the ground. If you have a jack stand, put that under the car.

Face away from the tire, and "mule kick" the edge of the rim with the sole of your foot. Repeat as many times as needed until the wheel comes free. If it is a steel wheel, you can use a BFH (Big fool hammer) and whack the rim.

your a guy and you asking this question? Yea send your girlfriend my way so she can have a real man. NO NO joking. Just kick the **** out of the tire and should come loose. When you put the other tire on make sure those lug nuts are on there tight as hell. They will come loose

sit on the ground with the car jacked up and kick either the left or right side of the tire's sidewall(the side of the tire) and it will come off. Never drive a car to loosen a wheel from the hub, this may cause injury, damage or death.

"Popped" off the lug nuts?
I'm guessing you "popped' off the lug nuts covers.
You need to put the wench on the lug nuts and twist
them off . Turn them opposite the way a clock runs.

Another dumb question.....front or rear?
Front...you have a real problem cause they are disc brakes.
Rear....the rim may be rusted to the drum so you may have to back poff the brakes and pull off the drum with the tire.

But using wd40 probably caused more harm.....you may have to replace the brake pads or shoes.
Or take the dust cap off and pull the whole wheel off.
Or better yet....and your G/F will love........a new car.

There are alot of new cars where the hubcap has lugs then the rim has lugs just double check.

Put a small screw in it then drive to a Big o Tire store they fix flats free, at least they do in Arizona.

you need a rubber mallet to hit the flat side of the rim. The flat may have also damaged the rim, then you need to get it removed professionally
