Bush is now bringing Osama out of the closet to scare the American people again. Today he read some of Osama's words, and reminded us that just because terrorist attacks haven't happened in the U.S., it doesn't mean we shouldn't be afraid. Yet between elections, he openly referred to bin Laden as a low priority, a non-threat with no power, that he doesn't worry about.

People against Bush, or whoever else, what's going on here?
Supporters, justify this behavior.

well I didn't hear him I read the news report.

it says he compared Osama bin Laden with Hitler... a lot more power than he said he had before

although I agree that our invasion in Iraq could lead it to becoming America's worst nightmare, a large nation with a good infrastructure taken over primarily by terrorists (the civilians are leaving fast)

The administration is in panic mode in these sixty days before the election. This is political theatre and talking points. Iraq is not playing well but Rove recalls reading about the swell of patriotism of World War II -- of fighting Hitler and the Nazis -- so his plan is a desperate attempt to link Nazis and terrorists in order to generate support and votes. Linking Iraq war criticism and appeasement of Nazis will do.

People aren't buying the Iraq 9/11 connection as they once did so it's change the subject -- Osama bin Laden all the time.

And alas, if nothing works, there is election fraud. Just in case the White House legal team is being beefed up to handle the questions that team Bush will finally be presented with after the new congress takes office.

You didn't understand Bush quite well.
He's talking about Iran governors being as dangerous as Al-Qaeda, not Osama Bin Laden. Al-Qaeda has always been a threat to democracy and now that in Iran the governors are acting pretty much like Al-Qaeda and they're trying to develop weapons of mass destruction and that's what President Bush informed the world about.
I don't have to justify his behavior cause his actions are noble, he's working hard to keep not only the Americans, but all of the free peoples safe from the Islam terrorists.
We should be proud of having a president like Bush, he's a true patriot and one who cares about the people!

I think he's always been a priority, and I believe they will
eventually get him (probably hiding in a hole like Saddam).
The US has already gotten the # 2 man and the rest of the
"top terrorist dogs", so they're still looking but they don't
want to (and shouldn't) say where as the press would tell
the enemy where we're looking. They seem to want us
to lose over there. bin laden did give the "orders", so that's
why he's dangerous, but I think he's so hidden right now
that he's not in a position to order anything.
