Chevy has had overhead valve engines since at least 1917. They had a V 8 then too. I think it was a 289 ci. I do know it was in the Model D, top of the line auto. Chevrolet lost his company to General Motors When Billy Durant took over. Chevrolet then went on to make overhead cam cyl. heads for Model T's and Model A Fords. His company was Frontenac? Motors. They won a lot of races.
