Just... don't look at me while I'm watching the Royal Tenenbaums, or Finding Neverland... or...

I am kind of embarrassed but i have got reasons for feeling that way. First of all this crying thing is a very new thing for me. My impression upon others is that i am really an emotionally dumb fellow. Even my parents think that way. I am living away from my parents and really have no friends with whom i can share my thoughts, problems, happiness. Could be possible this social situation has brought some changes in me and i find myself more emotional. I have cried on movies, which i have already seen and i have never cried on them. I may feel embarrassed if people come to know about this change. Till now i have kept it with myself as i stay alone while watching movies. May be this might change if i see movie with others.

I think that society pressures us to suppress our emotions. We're trained & taught to hide behind masks of acceptable behavior that causes no discomfort to those around us. It isolates us & assures that everyone feels strange for crying during sad movies. It's much more acceptable to be found laughing instead of crying because that doesn't make anyone else uncomfortable.
Yes. I do cry during sad movies & sad moments in life, but I also fall prey to wiping my eyes & slipping back into the masquerade before I face others. I am usually completely composed before I depart the theater, & sometimes that takes the entire roll of credits to accomplish.

I get very caught up in movies where there is a high level of emotion. I don't know why but I just get so caught up in the emotions...whether it's sad or not. I cried like a baby at Friday Night Lights and Armageddon. I'm not afraid to admit it either. I do it openly and with pride! You should too!

Not at all. I am sometimes the only person who screams in a movie, too. I want to get totally into the experience and forget where I am and what day it is and so forth. You go on and cry!

Nope. I left Saving Private Ryan in tears - as did many around me. I cried watching Missing in America. And others. Sometimes I get sniffly watching something that makes me think what it would be like to lose someone I love. Sometimes, it's very cathartic.

I would be embarrassed a lot. I cry at everything.
When I mean everything... I mean every Sunday I watch Extreme Makeover Home Edition. Pathetic I know.

I very rarely cry at movies. I did cry at Million Dollar Baby, though.
