No! I worked as a pier builder in Panama City Fla. some years ago. I know what's in that water right there just a few feet off the beach.
Fresh water, yes; I don't much like wearing clothes anyway.

I think if no one else is around and you go skinny dipping it kind of makes you creepy. Now if someone else was there with you I say go for it..
I am on the eastcoast where the water is cold Since its nighttime don't have to worry about shrinkage...

not in the ocean. I would be concerned about my safety in the ocean at night by myself. In a pool or a lake that I was familiar with...oh yeah!

FIRST why am i at the beach by myself??? sounds like a scene from jaws- wait it is its the opening scene!
but if you must know i would go for it, life's too short to always play it safe
