i have this friend...we are practically very close...she;s the funniest person i met and we laugh everytime we're together....but the problem is that her sense of humor is something cruel and hurting...she makes fun of me a lot and points out imperfection on my body and face and continues to make fun of me. She doesnt know that what she says hurts me...but it does i feel VERY insecure now and i rarely wanna go out anymore...what should i do? confront her? the main reason why i feel insecure is because she is 10x prettier than me and im not sure why she likes to put me down.

You need to tell her how you feel, I had a friend that did the same to me when we were younger and we are no longer friends. We're grown now and I found out from my mother that she picked on me so much because she was jealous of me because of how outgoing I was and how much others respected me and also that I was still a virgin and didn't let guys talk me into doing anything that I wasn't ready for. So maybe step back and take a look at things from another perspective and you'll see that she's just insecure and needs to make fun of someone else so she'll feel better about herself.
And you don't need a friend that treats you that way, let her know that she needs to straighten out or the friendship is over..

i knew a guy like that. he made me cry once. then i ended up dating the loser. and he only got worse. but he would (and still is just as mean) be soooo mean to everyone, me included. he would say hurtful things to and about everyone, that were uncalled for and for no reason. soon, i got embarrassed of it, and made it known. he didnt stop, it only got worse and made feel more stupid being with that idiot. moral of the story, (guaranteed) that person makes fun and is mean to everyone (funny or not) bc they are insecure themselves and are not happy with their own life, so point out everyone else's flaws. and that's what they do.

I don't think you need a friend like this girl. She is cruel! Don't bother with her.She will notice that you aren't around. She will contact you. Tell her that you don't to be the Brut of her jokes anymore. If she starts to tease you again. let her know that she's not perfect! She just thinks she is.

well, obviously she isnt your friend
i had a friend like that and she was much prettier than me
and she did make fun of me, and i let it get to me
tell her that shes hurting you and that you would appreciate it if she would stop talking like that to you
because she is taking advantage of you and she will continue to do it if you dont take any action of it
shes just trying to get to you and she knows it
and watever she said about you, dont say anything about her that way,

With friend like her you certainly don't need enemies. It may be time to get a new friend. You can tell her that what she does hurts your feelings and if she keeps doing it it's time to leave.

Why would you want to hang out with someone who does this to you? She sounds toxic to me, and you need to distance yourself from her in a big hurry. If she says this stuff to you to your face, what is she saying ABOUT you when you aren't around?
Dump her quick! She is no friend.
