My entire family has that same problem, its not dry skin cracking its actully a form of athletes foot.
Go to your doctor, expecially if it gets infected, make sure you keep it clean and let it breat, socks arn't always the best thing.
But yeah, 90% that im correct that its atletes foot, your doctor should give you a cream to rub on it, and it should go away in 1-4 weeks.
Good luck!

YES!!!!! i had the same problem! did you know that dry cracked feet, and the nasty white callus like stuff around the edges can actually be a form of athletes foot?
I didn't!.....I thought NO WAY do I have athletes foot.... well its a different type, not the type you get in the locker room... and its very common...
My Dr. told me to try tinactin....you know, the athletes foot cream! I tried it, it really helps!
you can get the equate brand at walmart, and it's just as good.
Just rub it on every night and wear socks to bed.
then when your heels look and feel better, use a pumice stone weekly.... I take a nice hot bubble bath each week, and use mine in there.
The stone will remove dry dead skin, and if you use a good lotion, or heel cream after you should be in good shape.
also until your cracks feel better... this is going to sound crazy.. but out super glue over them... make sure they are clean and dry first... but the super glue really helps... it protects the cuts, and helps with the pain... think about it... doctors use a form of super glue in the place of stitches these days!

You may have a fungal infection that will take a while to cure try powders or sprays for jock itch or athletes foot use sandals if you can to get air and sunlight circulation to the area. fungus grows in warm moist dark places. continue to lotion feet at night with lotions and emollients and cover them with socks. Be sure and thoroughly clean them with soap and water in the morning ...rinsing off all traces of soap (that can dry them out ).
Once they are a little improved be sure to remove calloused areas with pumice or callous shaver so that the tissue isn't as thick and apt to dry and crack again.

Yes get an exfoliating foot scrub, a pumice stone and special foot lotion, preferably peppermint. Use the pumice stone in the tub or shower, then use the exfoliating scrub. when you get out dry your feet and apply the foot lotion and put on thick socks to sleep in. Your feet will be like new. I promise. Dr.scholls actually makes products and you can find them in the drug store. I promise it will work.

I had the same problem-I got a pumice stone--use it in the show er while the skin is soft--then I use Curel--works great! Make sure you put the lotion on right after the shower. I tried expensive brands but Curel seemed to work the best--good luck!

It is likely connected to either a foot fungus or a systemic yeast infection. You can try some anti-fungal cream for some immediate relief but for long term relief, buy a Yeast Cleanse suppliment from a health food store. But it is likely that you will have to add this suppliment to your daily routine otherwise it will require a diet change on your part to keep the yeast infection from returning. You can do some research on Candida. This what the yeast infection is called.

Check your drug store for Corn Husker's lotion. Moisturizer also works for this problem. There is a drug called Carmol which is another lotion that is commonly used. You put lotions on the area and cover your foot with a plastic for quicker results. This was recommended by my Podiatrist.

You can get it at any walmart, in the pet section or Walgreens, and etc apply it at nite with socks on or in the morning with socks, it's greasy but works, you will see the difference in few weeks, farmers use it on their milk cows teats . dont get udder balm , it doesn't work
