There is no prevention. We can only hope to slow the process a little.

oh i'm entirely worried and scared and upset that not enough is being done right now to reduce emissions and reduce our dependency on oil! but what us poor lay people can do about it...i mean, we can try to carpool and take more public transportation but unfortunately, the power lies with the big corporations and the government and seeing how both of those, are overall, corrupt, there isn't alot we can do. i'm not sure how much letters to government officials and car companies would help either. and we couldn't exactly get everyone to boycott gas, that would probably be the most powerful thing to do. really, all we can do is do the little things to help and wait for the big guys to get some sense knocked into them :)
ah life (lol)

I am! Good luck trying to get everyone to slow it down! I also watch a show and it stated each time we go into space it affects global warming. Also I feel we need to find something other than fuel to run our cars etc...
There have been so many warning about this but we are gonna do it to our self's maybe not our life time or our children's life time but it will happen sooner than later...

Ask the dinosaurs about climate change...
The earth has gone through repeated cycles of warming and cooling for millions of years. Man has done nothing to bring on the current warming trend, nor can he do anything to slow, stop, or reverse it.
Also... this is NOT an appropriate question for Theater and Acting.

I'm scared to. I don't want to die anytime soon and I feel we are. Mtv has a campaige but I don't know how i can help. I think people should broadcast this stuff more to tell the world!!! I really think we need to think about it more and George W. Bush should be doing something about it.

yes.
stop using energy.
(easier said than done)
But Al Gore does give a number of ways to significantly reduce our dependence on fossile fuels- and most are not unrealistic. However- it will take tremendous leadership on this issue- which we currently don't have.
