We have removed the wax but a greasy orange stain remains. Carpet cleaner didn't work. Any ideas?

I've never tried it but this is what I have been told.

Put a tea towel over top of the stain and iron it - the heat melts the wax and the tea towel is suppose to absorb it (just use an old towel)

Hope it works for you.

Try oxiclean. Mix it with water and then apply to your carpet. This should do the trick but rinse it good after the water and oxiclean..Have you tried white vinegar? They say this works too. Also those new tide pens takes stains out. I think you can buy those pens at any grocery store or Walmarts; K marts. Anyway I am stocking up on oxiclean, tide pens and vinegar.

Place a thin rag (clean) or paper towel on the rug. Then turn on your iron and place it onto the rag. The wax in your carpet will melt and will soak up into the rag.

You can try a hair dryer too- and use a white towel to blot it up. My friend tried this and it all came up. Just be patient b/c it may take a while.

MAKE A PASTE OF OXICLEAN AND APPLY IT TO THE STAINED AREA...TAKE JUST A CUP OF VERY HOT WATER AND POUR IT ON.....WAIT A BIT AND JUST WIPE WITH A SOFT CLOTH UNTIL ALL IS OFF.
