its the tusks. You'd be a dork with fangs like that too. And let's not forget the dumbo ears.... oh yeah and the smell does not attract the ladies, no matter how much axe or tag you use. And the buzzing flies and intermittent swatting of the tail... not cute. So much for the witty comeback, all I'd hear is the bellering, and who eats throught their nose, really. Yuck. Thumbs down for elephants. Unless your hindu, then they're awesome... :)

Elephants are very intelligent animals that have complex social structures. Dorks are people who anthropomorphize and call elephants dorks!

No, they are clever, hard working and loyal to their owner. They are big because they help human being do what they can't do in the forest. For example they help the farmer moving ,by pulling) the big trunk to the river and road side for transport. Without their help how can people move it.
