Is there electricity to the switch when the key is on? if so, then the switch might be bad. The truth is that there is more to these cars than just a battery, path, switch and a load. Many cars today and even the 95s have what's called multiplexing. This means that one wire can do several jobs instead of one. I don't recommend swapping parts. If you can't figure it out, Take it to a mechanic that has the equipment needed for this kind of service. These car commonly have a computer that controls many of the functions like lights and windows. Frying one is big bucks.

I used to own a Rolls Royce which I used for weddings.

After the ceremony and the photographs had been taken the bride and groom would get in the back of the car and put down the electric window.

9 times out of 10 some crazy aunt would lean in and tip a complete box of confetti all over them. I would then whisk the bride and groom off to their reception and then start to make my way to the next wedding (my record was 5 in one day).

However, the back of the car was now covered in damned confetti and you can't expect another couple to sit in somebody elses confetti, in fact the car needs to be spotless.

I solved this by removing the fuse for the rear nearside window so it wouldn't work!

The bride & groom would get in the car, I would close the door after them and click the doors shut with my key that I kept out of site in my pocket.

By the time I had made my way round to the drivers door they had tried to open the window, the mad aunt was standing there banging the window whilsts holding the box of confetti and somebody else had tried to open the door which was now locked.

I then unlocked the door with the key still in my pocket (in a Rolls Royce you don't get that loud click that you hear in other cars) when I thought it was safe - jumped in and locked all the doors again and pulled away slowly from the kerb.

The couple would always say "The electric window isn't working" and I would then remark something like, "Oh really? Thank you. I'll get the mechanic to check it out tomorrow."

most window switches go out because of cleaning chemicals we spray or moisture & water when cleaning cars and from long usage. make sure you have power & ground are present at your switch if this exists, Try removing the switch and clean with solvent that does not disolve plastics like alcohol.if that does not work, replace your switch.
p.s you can check if your window motor is working by applying direct power & ground to the motor connection.
good luck

My driver's side door was stuck for a few months recently....I took it in to get reparied...it was raining that day....at the guy came up to my car with his notebook to take my info I unconsciously lowered the window....it turns out it had just been stuck to the rubber in the frame and the rain loosened it up.

I was quite embarrassed but at least I didn't have to pay a big bill.

Have you checked to see if you have any line voltage?
Even though you changed out the switch on the passenger door there still could be a problem on the drivers side.
The first thing i would do is check the voltage!

I'd check your fuses. Sometimes that's a sign that one is blown or going(probably blown). If it's not that I'd check the wiring diagram from a Haynes or Chilton manual and compare. If not that, I'd find a good mechanic. Just remember that you get what you pay for. The cheapest isn't always the best.

well it seems that you replaced everything but the switches so that would be the next thing to change. but keep those extra motors around in case that was a problem also.

I had the same problem and took it to my mechanic. He put a new motor in it and it's worked fine ever since. Maybe the motor you used was defective.
