Highlight the text. Then go to Format. Scroll to Font. Superscript will be a checkbox.

Highlight the number. Right click on it. Select Font. Check the box next to superscript.

If you go to the end of the formatting toolbar and click 'Add/Remove Buttons', you'll find a button for superscripting

Superscript: Press CTRL+SHIFT+=
Subscript: Press CTRL+=
