I am only 1 day late... or maybe behind on my cycle. When I took the first response test it came up negative. I have cramps as if I am getting my period, but nothing yet. We're ttc, and it is very hard to be patient! I'm starting to think i'm not pregnant... was it too soon to take a test?

Technically... no... it was not too soon to take the test. But you have got to understand that your body is different from everyone else. One of my friends tried taking a HPT every other day (after her missed cycle) and it took her 6 weeks to finally get a positive... and she KNEW that she was pregnant before the test. Anywayz... I can understand the impatient part... but with trying so hard to become pregnant... you are (no doubt) stressing yourself out even more. With stressing yourself out... it will take longer to conceive. Just relax a bit... try not to think about it (trust me... I know it is difficult to do). As for your period being late... like I said... you could be stressed... or your body can be changing. A woman's body goes through so many changes throughout her life. I would suggest picking up a book called "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" (by:Toni Weschler). It could help you chart your fertility and find out when the best day is to conceive. Try taking another test within a week... or try to take one by blood... they are more accurate and if you get a negative (if you still have not started your period)... I would go to see your doctor and find out what is going on. Get any abnormalities rule out. I hope this helps. Good luck!!

I was 11 days late on my period whereas Im always 28days normally. I was convinced i was pregnant, had all the signs but the period eventually came. It was my first month ttc and I was obsessed! I think i made my period late by being so obsessive. You need to calm down, think positive but NOT obsessive thoughts about conceiving, I know its difficult but stress can play a major part in not conceiving.

I too am late!! Lmp was 8/5!! AF should have arrived by now and I am also cramping !! I 'm soooo scared to test!! I don't want to see another BFN!! You may want to wait at least a couple more days to test again or use yourFirst Morning Pee!! Good luck and looooooooooooooooooots of baby dust to us! LOL!!

not too soon to take a test. maybe u are under stress, check with doctor a week later to be doublely sure.

Been there... Wondering and waiting can drive you crazy. Don't get discouraged yet. Wait a couple of days and then retest. Don't give up and keep the faith. Good Luck!

give it a week,if u havent gotten your period by then take another test and if its still negitive something could be up with you?stress can cause your period to be late...wish you the best!!
