The police currently have the video. The Discovery Channel has stated that if the video is turned over to them, they will not air it or release it. I think it would be a horrible thing for his family to accidentally put on the TV and wind up seeing his last moments again and again. In my opinion, a public release of that film would be absolutely tasteless. Chances are the video will be turned over to his wife which is where it belongs. I'm sure the Discovery Channel will show his programs for the edification of the public. In fact, they did that last night. I think its a horrible thing that he is gone, and I feel bad, too. But his family's feelings have to be taken into consideration. I am sure they are hurting more than any of us can possibly imagine.

It's not being released. I read in an article that a person has the video but he will not release it until it's ok with Steve's wife. But he's not going to ask because it's too soon and I don't blame him.

i think thats pretty sick. if you miss him why do you want to be reminded that hes gone?
Steve's wife did not want to release the tape to the public, so it is being held by the police.
Respect? You should learn about it.

I don't think it's free as of yet. The people shooting the trip will make the most of it (unless someone slips a copy) bbbefore releasing it to the public.
I think you can find plenty of his shows to remember him by without this one.

the video is in cop possession, and according to Irwin's manager he is trying to make sure no one ever sees it, because it was a distrubing tape...

No I don't; I don't think I could watch it knowing that he's going to die in the video. How tragic.
