if lincoln had his way there would not have been no civil war but the south seceded so it was beyond his control after that

No. The Southern states attempted to secede and attacked the Unites States at Ft. Sumter.

I don't know if it was a lie but he broke the tenth amendment . he took the right to secede the union if one chose to , that's why one cant negotiate with the government ! If you cant turn down a deal then its all for not

No. Licoln just wanted to keep the states in the Union. He was pretty clear to the Amercan people about that.

the south ceded. so part of our country decided that they were their own country. he didnt have to lie to fight to keep the country together.
