If you started driving like that and realized something was wrong before you got more than a few yards and fixed the problem you don't have to worry too much. Just check the breaks in a safe place just to make sure you didn't mess them up.

If you drove like that for an extended period of time you could have done some damage to both the breaks and the drums/disks. So you MUST get it checked and replaced if necessary. The emergency breaks and the normal breaks are pretty much the same thing so it is not only that you are messing up.

Drive safely.

It will scream for awhile until it breaks or seizes up. If you have been driving with it on for awhile just make sure to release brake and test car for brake damage, if brakes work and you dont hear brake noise or feel something wrong when using brakes it should be fine, but your emergency brake will not work correctly again.

The emergency brake manually presses the rear break pad against the drum/rotor as opposed to the caliper pressing the pad under normal braking conditions. You will overheat the pads and drum/rotor resulting in premature wear and risk warping the drum/rotor if you drive like this for an extended period.

That's assuming your emergency brake is funcitoning properly.

The linings in the rear brakes wear out and the drum or rotor overheats. Basically, it's not a good thing. The amount of damage depends on how far it was driven and how much tension there was on the emergency brake.

It wears down the brake and causes the engine to run hotter than usual...
If it's necessary to use the emergency brake to stop, release it as you start up and to stop, pull AND HOLD on the release BEFORE stepping on the brake... Come to a stop and release the brake again... Get it fixed ASAP!!!

You will wear out the brake lining quickly and may damage the drums. Also, it will feel like your car is lugging and you will be wasting gas.

You risk the chance that you will burn out your rear brakes. If they are not on too tight, the damage might be minimal. check your back brakes to see if they are damaged.

you only have about 25% of the same braking force, if that.

if you mean drive with them on? you will burn them up, and it will stink, and if you wear them down enough you can cause damage to your brake system.
