It's negative and since I'm like the last one to answer, here it goes...

+ * + = +
- * - = +
- * + = -
+ * - = -

(-5)squared = -5 * -5 = 25
(-3)cubed = -3 * -3 * -3 = -27

an odd number of negatives squared or cubed produces an odd integer while an even number of negatives squared or cubed produces an even number...

bottom line - I HATE MATH, BUT I'M GOOD AT IT.

The positive numbers don't matter. If there are an even number of negative numbers, the result will be positive. If there are an odd number of negative numbers, the result will be negative. Since seven is odd, the result of multiplying seven negative numbers will be negative.

You have an odd number of negative numbers which makes it negative. If it were an even integer then you would have a positive number.
(4x2)(7x-2)
(8) (-14)
(-112)
