What does race have to do with patriotism? To be black is a chance of birth. To be a "true American" is devotion to and pride in your nation. One does not exclude the other.

Since our nation is founded on a blending of cultures, and patriotism IS a love of our nation and it's people, the real question is "Can you be both a bigot and a true American?".

Would you mind going to a military base and asking all the fine True American Black Heroes serving in our armed forces that question?

Yes, in all seriousness, they can be as fine or finer of true Americans as any one else. America is about being a melding pot of cultures, races, and beliefs.

If you have to ask a question like this, you are totally clueless. "In all seriousness"? Give me a small break. I'm black - and I seriously consider myself a true American.
