The ONLY Team in the American League that has a snowballs chance in hell of beating the Yankees, because theyre in the Yankees head, are the Anaheim Angels. Anaheim could haave played 50 games and only won 3 of those games and the three wins would be against the Yankees LOL. That Said, anaheim is not making Playoffs. And if any of you Detroit Fans or Twin fans or Oakland Fans think youre beating the Yankees GOOD LUCK! The Whitesox if they get in do reprresent a threat to the Yankees because of their pitching, but last time i checked the Yankees were 4-2 against Chicago this year and easily couldve been 5-1 against them if not for one of Riveras rare hiccups and a blown save to the Whitesox. Im NOT a Yankee fan, so no im not blowing their horn thru rose colored glasses, im a Met fan.. and i look at the American leagu and see Oakland pitching who the yankees ALWAYS hit in playoffs when they see it.. The Twins Team who MELT LIKE BUTTER whent hey see the Yankees in playoffs EVERYTIME, And that Detroit Team that had the best record in baseball for so long,, the yankees are 5-2 against them this year and smack their hard throwers around like they insulted their families so detroit fans PLEASE!.... Noone in AL aside from the Whitesox and Angels is equipt to beat the Yankees, and The Whitesox and Angels BOTH might not even make playoffs.
The NL is Easy, the Mets are an American League Team playing in the NL, theyre the best hands down.
World Series is Yankees vs Mets...win it? i need to see how both teams are playing once into the playoffs first, but i know this, i couldnt take it if the Yankees beat the mets again... my shrink gets enough of my money

I hope the Tigers make it but my head says the Yankees will be there. The best team in the NL by far is the NY Mets. In a "subway series" I think the Yankees might just win it all because of more quality starting pitching and an offense that can light it up against any pitching staff in a 7 game series. I'm not a Yankees fan but I appreciate the excellence they have shown this year up to this point.

Ofcourse I wanna say the BoSox :P But I'll be nice :) For the AL it will come down between the Detroit Tigers and Minnesota Twins. The Tigers have their young flamethrowers healthy and The Twins are gonna get Liriano back very soon. With guys like Morneau, Mauer, and Liriano they are destined to do great things. The Tigers on the otherhand,,,, I don't think they are afraid of postseason pressure. They will do just fine. As for the NL ?? I would like to say the Mets but that all depends on how healthy their pitching is by the playoffs. Thier offence can only carry them so far and the playoffs are a whole new game. But with that realization, I'm looking at the other NL teams and I'm not afraid of this prediction I'm about to say. The NL Wild Card team will make it to the World Series....That's right!! They are all pushing now and whoever gets in will have the psychological boost to let them understand that they are capable of great things. The exciting thing is that the Wild Card team has soooo many candidates. So enjoy these last few weeks, because the Wild Card team that pushes the most will make it far :) Don't quote me on this, but I'm gonna take an wild guess and say that the wild card will be Philly or Cincy

I think it definatly going to be the New York Mets for the National League. For the American League it may be A close race between the Yankees and Boston. But I think the Mets are going to win it all.

From the NL, I think the Mets will beat out the Cards in the NLCS. Neither has great pitching, but the Mets simply have more bats and better health then the Redbirds.
From the AL, the strongest teams are in the Central. I think the Twins and Tigers will have a great battle in the ALCS, but in the end the Twins will advance to the WS and beat the Mets due to good starting pitching, great relief pitching, steady defense, and great hitting.
