I found my real dad after 22 years. I am 29 now. I want to spend time with my dad but his wife will not let me at all. She will not let me call him or write, She told my dad if he sees me she will divorce him. She will let him see his other kids but not me. I have had my friends call but she always answers the phone. I am disabled and need my dad.I just do not know what to do next. i have not seen him for 3 years. She controls me and him and she has people watching us to make sure He does not see me.

she sounds like a control freak but little does she know she can't stop you from seeing your father & you could take her to court to prove to her that you are your father's daughter & you have all the rights to see him. if he doesn't want to see you then something is wrong with him.

I know exactly where you are coming from but My fathers wife doesnt even know about me. I have other sisters and a brother and have never meet any of them i found my dad 4 years ago just after i had my son it hurts real bad that i feel so rejected.

This woman is a control freak! But jest of it is that if your father loved you then HE would not let anyone or anything stand in the way of having a relationship with you. She has him under her control, but it is his choice if he wants to break free of her hold and do what is right by his child. And...If she really loved him she would not make him choose between her and you. There should be enough love to go around!

If your father is allowing himself to be controlled/manipulated by his wife then you will have to accept the situation and get on with your life by surrounding yourself with friends and other family that bring good things to your life. Can you contact him at his work or thru a friend or member of his family that would be sympathetic to your predicament? best of luck to you

Your father is a grown man and if you meant that much to him he would find a way to see you, no matter what. I'm sorry but it sounds like he doesn't want to see you and he may be using her as an excuse to make himself feel better.

Anyway, my feeling is that if he really wanted to see you, he would find a way. Let her divorce him. No one should be forced to choose like that. What a freak!

What does he want? Or do you even know because she may not let you see him to ask.....
Does he work? Can you show up (if you can't drive,...take a cab)after he gets off and ask him for coffee?
