A seesaw is essentially a lever.

For a lever, F(you) / F(friend) = d (you)/d(friend).
F = ma, and a is equal for you and your friend.

Therefore: m(you)/m(friend) = d(you)/d(friend)
where d is the distance between you and the fulcrum.
