The right wing media needs to have an enemy to hate! The Dixie Chicks came along at the right time. After 9/11 on Bush's watch, and the UN weapons inspectors finding NO weapons in Iraq, by then we were past the point of no return for war.
The Chicks spoke out about their concerns for the war. Bush should have listened, then we wouldn't be in the mess we are in.

I am not a country fan, but I did buy their latest CD and I think it should win an emmy. I also went to their concert in DC, which was sold out.
The slows sales of the Chicks tour in the south have been all over right-wing talk radio and Fox News, are they still pushing the anti- Chicks sentiment? But they are not saying the Chicks tour will still be one of the largest grossing tours in country music. They are grossing almost $600,000 a show.

What bothers me the most is the censorship from Clear Channel. They own most of the right- wing radio and country stations, and their former co-chairman happened to be a strong Bushs.

No more than what the libs do concerning anything they find out about the conservatives. Liberals say that if you don't like what you see or hear, just tune out or turn the channel. The same applies to the Dixie Chicks and they have to deal with it. I am all for free speech and they can say what they want but they also need to understand and accept the repercussions that go along with it. Do I like what she said, hell no BUT I will defend her right to say it because we live in a country that allows that and that's what makes this country great. You think it's so bad , could you imagine them living in another country and saying the same thing about a foreign leader(i.e. Iran, China, South Korea, etc.)-she probably wouldn't be alive very long.
