George Bush is a ne'er-do-well who has just fallen into the right spot at the right time( the wrong spot at the wrong time for the rest of us). He admits with great reluctance to mistakes everyone else knows he has made. Hopefully, his hubris will catch up to him. We are beginning to see the emperor's new clothes, but when he leaves office the whole wardrobe will come off with kiss and tell books. He is playing Peter Seller's role in the movie, Being There. He has been a failure at everything he has tried, but he has always had his family to bail him out. History will not be so kind. Warren G. Harding will look like Abe Lincoln compared to him when he leaves office. The blood of thousands of Marines and soldiers(I was a Marine) is on his pasty privileged hands.

I know that Republican's can NEVER admit that they are wrong or that someone that they were told to follow messes up!!! They always have an excuse for his stupidity. I think his father is a noble man, and I want to know how in the hell Sr. chose Dubya or Jeb to be his prodigy???!!!!!

If I were him, I would be apologizing to all who voted for me, and all those who told him that he couldn't run the country.

To those who said that the majority of america voted for him, how is 51% to 49% a majority???? How Bill beat his father in 1992 was a Majority........ They must not teach the basics of mathmatics at your chuch!!

"We" didn't lose in 2000, our votes didn't matter, what mattered was they fixed they ballots in Flordia, so the elderly who suffer from a Republican administration couldn't vote for Gore! Do you think those people really wanted to vote for BOB DOLE!!!!!

No politician can please everyone, but, when only 28% of the country likes how you are handling our futures and our childrens futures, you have to see that you are doing something wrong!!!!!

After he is out of office, he will still the the son of an oil baron and have a good life for his pill popping, long island ice tea drinking, Chanel wearing daughters and their heirs...................................

Come on Neo-Con's lets see what you got!!!

Come and get me!!!!!!

If I were George Bush I would not resign but I would be assasinated, because someone would realize that I had planned the Trade Centers fall to start the World War III to get the oil, to sell weapons and to stay on my chair for a loooong time.

If I were George Bush I would keep doing what I was doing and not lower myself to liberal standards. The only reason you think his ratings are in the dumpster is because yours are already there.

I would keep my mouth shut, except when there was a big event and couldn't get out of speaking. I would not talk freely to reporters, end all press conferences[unofficially] and keep a low profile. We might even gather some confidence in the president IF HE KEPT HIS MOUTH SHUT

I would forget about my approval rating and ask myself what I could do in my remaining two years to turn the country around. It would take four years for the results to show, but at least history would give you credit for setting things straight.

First I would sack all the "Yes-men" around me, particularly the manipulators like Cheney and Rumsfield. I would also sever all ties with big business lobbies, like the oil and armanents industries. In their place I would set up a few think tanks with some experts and constructive critics who were prepared to think outside the box. I would give them six months to come up with a recommended strategy.

On foreign policy I would review the propping up of questionable regimes like Israel, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. I would switch from military aid to economic and humanitarian aid. Give the world's most desperate people stability and a future, instead of spending on weapons to try and control them. I would pick fights that I could win, starting with nasty regimes like Burma and Zimbabwe.

On Katrina, I would take a hard look at the realities and come up with a realistic long-term plan for the Gulf Coast. Stop throwing money at the problem and hope things will solve themselves. Don't rebuild areas that are likely to be hit again and again. Pay limited compensation to those affected, and move on. Look at where the region's best economic prospects lie and invest in the needed infrastructure. Roads, ports, power generation, etc. Build new settlements in relatively safe areas.

On the environment I would stop arguing about global warming and what caused it and start planning for the worst case scenarios. Make a bigger effort to fix the environmental problems we have before climate change dumps a whole new set of problems on top. Don't be afraid to antagonize vested economic interests or the green lobby. In most cases it is quite clear what needs to be done.

On the economy come back to the fundamentals. Balanced budgets, reduced debt, low unemployment, low inflation. No special cases. End the stupid tax cuts. Invest in needed infrastructure to keep America competitive in the twenty-first century.

Take a realistic look at poverty and ask what needs to be done. Welfare is not the answer. Passing laws is not the answer. The best investment a country can make is in universal child care, for children under 5 from deprived homes. Once they get older any money spent on the problem is money down the drain.

Start championing the principles which made America great. Freedom of speech, tolerance, separation of church and state.

Speak up against human rights abuses worldwide, not just against those regimes we dislike for other reasons. Campaign to end child labor worldwide.

End corruption in politics. Reform campaign spending, reduce the influence of lobbyists, and stop requiring judges and law enforcers to raise money to run for election.

Look at other countries for more cost effective health care models. Spend less on drugs and more on prevention.

Generally, set ideology aside. Look at the problem as realistically and objecitively as possible. Come up with a feasible plan. And set it in motion.

Finally, start reading the New Testament. Find out for yourself what Jesus really said. Not what a bunch of Old Testament preachers told you.

If I were Bush now, I would resign and apologize, I would testify against other conspirators and try to get the whole lot thrown in prison. If I had been him 6 years ago I would have done the patriotic thing and not run for President.

Rule one the democrats never learn.....you CAN NOT please every buddy......You just have too do the best you can for the people......

I am far better of now with G.W.Bush as president then I ever was under Clinton.....

To think I use too be a democrat and that I actually voted for Clinton.....was a sad time in my life....I am glad I woke up and realized that the democratic party only cares for their elite self!

"Ignorance is bliss." Bush is being programmed by Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld.

Cheney and Rumsfeld probably tell George every day that everybody loves him and it is the nasty "liberal press" that is just spreading lies. (This is why George will not fire Rumsfeld, or Cheney; even though their poll numbers are in the low teens.
