I am need of light welding on my baha bug...What would I reguire to start welding at my home on a small scale...Plzzz help I want to learn to do this for myself....Most of my needs are tack welding....What do I need and where can I get it cheap?? thank you take care.....

go down to your local menards if you have one and get a cheap wirefeed. You need to get argon gas to go with it. alittle practice and you'll be doing light welding in no time. the other way to go is a stick welder. you won't need a very good one, but buy what you can afford. this would use a very small rod with about 60 amps. very hard to weld tin with as it likes to burn holes. think about used [most welding supply stores] if you're not going to use it alot. i forgot. you can get flux wire for wi refeed so you don't need the gas. thats the way to go.

Loose Goose has it right. Avoid the stick, because it requires a bit more skill.
Wire feed is pretty much plug-n-play, squeeze the trigger and you are off.
You got a COSTCO around? You can buy a pretty decent 110V unit from them for < $300.00.
While you are at it, gather some clean scrap iron to practice on. You want to know how to actually weld before you light up on your buggy.
