Ok, so my hubby and I bought an old Nintendo today, and the original Mario Bros game to go with it. Now, I THOUGHT I remembered there being a cheat for when you have a game over, you could push A-START-A-START-A-START-A ... then you'd get another chance...am I crazy or am I right? My hubby says I am crazy and no such cheat exists for older games like that. But I REALLY DO think I am right!! Please tell me!!

I WAS right! When you see the game over screen, you hold down A until you see the 1p / 2p screen then really fast you push start A start A start A and it takes you back to the begin of that level that you were at! WOO HOO! I am NEVER right! So I LOVE this!!! let me have my moment,lol....

yes there is such.. but i think it only works for a certain version of mario bros.
how come?
i've had this game in a single cartridge.. and a friend had it in an 8-in-1 catridge and i bought a 100-in-1 with this game in one of the selections..
what i want to say is that.. the 100-in-1 Mario had the "START A START A" thing.. 8-in-1 Mario can swim like he does in any stage when you push the turbo button (cool huh?).. the game in the single cartridge has non of the bonuses..
call me crazy but i've played it that way, so maybe i am crazy..

I honestly dont remember there being any cheats for Mario Bros, unless you used a game genie, but thats another story.
if you truly think there is a cheat for that game then check out the some of the sites that offer cheats for games. I think you can still look up cheats on these sites for the Nintendo
