If it's an automatic, it's a sealed system and you need to have it done professionally. It's usually about a hundred bucks for a flush and refill. I need to do mine soon!

if it is automatic you need to get a funnel, make sure you have the correct fluid and put it down the dipstick tube while the car is running, shift through all the gears and then check the level. repeat until you get it to the correct level. if it is a manual, you add it in the same hole you check. add it until it starts coming back out, make sure you use the correct fluid,.

Actually if it's a manual trans. you don't want to fill til it runs out. You fill to just below the level of the hole. Overfilling can lead to blown-out seals and other problems.

you pour it in with a funnel. it goes in where your dipstick is.
