80, 70 to 15 (then 5, which I can stop at mom's on the way) or 40 (can still stop at moms. Looking for the easiest drive.

I-80 is your best bet. it's the fastest way through Rockies. I-70 ends in Utah, then you have to go meet up with I-80 anyway. or you could take US-50 from I-70 to Reno. (fill up on gas when you can) it is known as the loneliest highway in America. (for good reason). you still meet up with I-80, but it's a neat drive.

I-80 takes you right to Oakland, take the bay bridge to get into SF.

I-5 splits off & goes down through Stockton,

I-15 will add 15 hours or more to your trip.

the most direct is jump on the 80-90 toll road and when they divide stay on 80 until it ends, but you would have to go south on 5 in sacremento to see mom

If you already know which way you are going, why are you asking us? Best route is I 80 directly into SF.

I-80 is the way to go... it'll get you to the bay bridge... plus it's one of the easiest ways over the rockies...

proberly I-80, but go to map quest or google maps for driving directions
