I work in advertising and oddly enough in music stores for about 7 years,so I know a bit about this. The reason the DJ doesn't tell you the song title or artist is because they want you to go to the music store. If you have to go to the store you are ten times more likely to just buy it rather than downloading off the net.Sometimes withholding information can generate as much as providing it.But it still sucks. The funny thing is I used try to get people to sing as much as they could even after I knew what they needed. It's amazing how much a person will sing to a perfect stranger knowing(I hope)they can't sing a lick just to get that music fix.Funny and Cool!

I agree completely!!! I did get lucky with our new car though. It's an '03 Isuzu Ascender SUV and when you have certain radio stations on it tells you the name of the song and the singer. It's not satelite radio just the regular FM stations. I love it!

Yes it does. Especially when I like the song and I have my pen and paper ready to write down the artist and they never give it. It drives me madd.

Yes, but as long as you caught a few words you can just go type them + lyrics into a search engine on the net & you have your answer right there.

oh definately especially when you really like the song and have to end up looking it up online to find it just because the stupid DJ didnt take 3 seconds more to announce what it is

yeah it does kind of bug me but....most bands and musicians have a style they stick with and you can usually tell who the musician is after the first few bars of music...or you can type in some lyrics online and figure it out that way
