Absolutely! You could rack in the bennys. You would get a lovely home, you would get all sorts of subsidies and you would get to sit on your a-se watching telly, smoking a spliff which you had got for medicinal purposes from the NHS and knocking back the subsidized bevvies. For dinner it's meals on wheels, ready cooked and served at your door.

I am really not further right than Attila the Hun, but it sure sounds like it from reading above. Just a bit of S--t stirring.

Hi

I didn't read every answer already given, but I did read fivetoze and a couple of others

The problem seems to be that there is a drastic lack of continuity in the system
I guess and ethnic, homosexual with learning difficulties (and i'm neither racist or have other prejudices) may get special benefits, but it seems that a other people with disabilities don't get them

Let's face it people, our country has been run by incompetent politicians/beaurocrats (never could spell that one) for so many years that the whole system is a mess, and the country is tottering on bankruptcy.
BTW I am english, and live in Germany....people, it isn't much different over here

Definitely. You would be the social services and do-gooders dream icon. Every agency in the land would be rushing forward to press money into your greedy conniving hands. You'd be a millionaire in no time. To Hell with the sick and elderly who worked all their lives and were then screwed by this Labour Government. They are simply cash cows, who had the audacity to save, but can now provide money for the Government to buy votes elsewhere.

Yes, more so than any straight white female who wants to be in a marriage. In this case, the underdog isn't necessarily the underdog which is why so many of we true moralistic, ethical Brits get very angry about the state of this country. If you want to do things the 'right' way, the government sneers at you.

punta...engage brain before spouting absolute rubbish. it make you look foolish, and ignorant.

im in a wheelchair, have been for 26 poxy years, our wonderful government lavishes wealth and opportunity on me, it panders to my every whim... oops i must have been dreaming.. unless my every whim is abject poverty. im english, i left school good friday 1974, and i paid my taxes, right upto 1983, when i was sideswiped off my kawasaki.. end result one leg, (fivetoze) and one arm which works... and one which has a mind of its own.

i drive an 18 year old volvo, i live in a council house, and i last went on holiday in 1986... oh yeah, my life is one big beanfeast. thankfully i have a wonderful wife of 25 years, and two lovely girls.

and what do i do...supping from the government trough. sponging off the state.. i write, edit and produce the local newspaper, im a director of the local community forum, im vice chair of our local community centre, and chair of the residents association... im an unpaid volunteer... no one will give me a job... (too many problems) too much time off work.. but here i am, at 20 past 3, in pain, unable to sleep, so i can work at home, when i want to...when i can.

if id listened to the doctors, id be vegging in front of the telly, eatingburgers and getting fat, waiting for the heart attack..and thats not me. since they chopped my leg off ive got my a levels, and a degree from the OU. i have my self respect... as do most other disadvantaged people in the world... but youre stereotyping us as all sponging layabouts and nerdowells...and we arent.

racial predjucide is as nothing compared to being disabled. and theres so many loopholes in the legislation we could drive a horse and coaches thru it...you people with legs wont even do us the courtesy of not parking in disabled bays... so what chance is there of us not being seen as sponging malingerers... i do know one thing. not one of us asked to be disabled... we dream of a normal life, and you dismiss it as mundane.

every day we wake up, and a lot of us no doubt groan inside. another day just like the last (for me, 8395 thousand days) we climb mountains every day..day after day. its relentless, and exhausting... pray to your god that this never happens to you... its an uphill struggle, but whats the option, go next door and stick my head in their microwave? (saves on the electric)

and anyway, the immigrants and refugees get a better deal... they dont have to succeed, just sign on and get paid...and yes it irks me..i paid my taxes, what have they contributed?
